Why CMS (Content Management System)?
the basic answers are because it makes sense, saves time and money! So then why Joomla CMS? because it's free and not to be repative...but, it makes sense, saves time and money! if you're paying someone (sorry web designers and programmers) everytime you need a word changed, a image uploaded, or you need to re-tweak the flow of your site...you're leaving dollars on the table. that's not to say that some customizations may indeed involve a "Joomla Whiz," but in this day and age, most websites, intranets, extranets, social networks and blogs are being developed and run on some type of "templated CMS." it may not look like it, but they are.
so just what is a CMS?
a content management system (CMS) is software that keeps track of every piece of content on your web site, just like a store tracks inventory of products or a hotel tracks room reservations. your content that is being managed by Joomla and WordPress CMS can be simple text, photos, music, video, documents, or just about anything you and your team can think of. and, the major advantage of using these CMS solutions is that it requires almost no technical skill or knowledge to manage.
