Operation SafeHouse
a shelter in the storm - online and off for at-risk-teens
not often in life do you get to do what you love and give back in return to help others in a very genuine authentic manner. on a whim, and because of a social media invitation (facebook group invite), rick clemons, president of concentric elements, responded to operation safehouses need for volunteers. intending to use his background in culinary arts, rick was set to offer up his culinary talents to make meals for the non-profit's teen residents in riverside and thousand palms california. upon learning about his marketing and web design background, one conversation lead to another and soon another web design project using joomla content management system as the platform blossomed.
challenged by waining budgets, operation safehouse knew their website needed a facelift but the funds for a high dollar renovation were simply out of the question. after exploring their needs, the concentric elements team came up with a design that really reached the non-profits core target audiences - teens in trouble, parents of the teens, and local community philanthropists.
the results
an online presence that saves money, and gets to the core of helping teens-at-risk
using a three-pronged approach, the joomla site was designed to immediately drive the visitor to the information they would be most interested in. the doorways into the site provided obvious entry ways for teens, parents and the community. each portal was customized in style and content to make sense for the person visiting. combining online calendars and donation tools as well as integrating their constant contact email marketing, operation safehouse now has a site that truly provides a safe place for giving teens and their families the information they need when the road of life throws them a curve.
